This year being ...
The Year of the Priest, Diocese of Darjeeling has been especially blessed with five young men who would be ordained as Deacon on 16th December 2009 at St. Teresa’s Church, 8th Mile, Kalimpong at 1500hrs.
They are Br. Norbert Lepcha, from St. Peter's Church Tanayang, Br. Federick Dewan from St. Joseph's Church Gitdubling, Br. Joseph Chettri from Vijaya Rani Girja, Maria Basti, Br. Paul Rai from St. Xavier's Church, GhayabariTindharia and Br. Robin Kalikotay from St. Mary's Church, Geazing (South Sikkim).
In order to mark this event in a special way all the Priest of the Diocese will gather for one full day of recollection till the Diaconate ordination preparing themselves spiritually for Christmas.
