Social Apostolate

Through Diocesan Social Service Society known as Anugyalaya a registered body, CARITAS unit of India, the church is trying to reach out to each and every corner of the Diocese catering to all irrespective of caste, creed and gender giving awareness on different issues, empowering the marginalized specially women and children, helping them to improve their livelihood, generating self-confidence in the people, teaching them to manage disaster, Relief and rehabilitation to the victims of disaster mainly of land slide, linking peoples’ organizations to different government departments etc. Although the society is helped by CARITAS India, it does not have a training centre of its own so it is running in a rented office and also it needs a vehicle. This society is formed in 1998 and is registered in 2001 only.
